Mexican authorities link multiple suspects to criminal charges in recent prosecutions

The Federal Prosecutor's Office (FGR) and state prosecutors have formally charged several individuals across Mexico for a range of offenses.

In Matamoros, Tamaulipas, seven men were linked to process after a raid seized 66,500 liters of illicit fuel and related equipment. In Querétaro, a man was charged for transporting approximately 498 kg of mercury in violation of environmental laws.

Sonora authorities detained a suspect with a massive drug haul, including 15.45 kg of methamphetamine, 22,380 fentanyl pills, heroin, opioids, cocaine and additional fentanyl powder. In Cancún, a man was linked to process for a violent motorcycle robbery involving a firearm.

In Hermosillo, a man received a four‑year, nine‑month prison sentence for illegally possessing a military‑type rifle and ammunition. In Aguascalientes, a suspect was charged with aggravated rape, statutory rape and kidnapping of a teenage girl. Finally, in Nogales, Sonora, a man was linked to process for an armed robbery of a commercial establishment, involving knives and threats.

All cases resulted in preventive detention and set timelines for further investigation.
