Two traffic accidents in Argentina injure multiple people

A head‑on collision between a Brazilian‑registered truck and a local tractor‑trailer on Provincial Route 6 near Maciá left two people injured, one in serious condition. The impact blocked the road completely, prompting a large emergency response that included police, fire‑fighters and medical teams. The driver of the Brazilian truck was taken to a hospital in Villaguay, while his female companion was treated in Maciá; the driver of the Argentine truck was examined but escaped major injury.

Later that day, a separate crash on Route 7 at the Fasinpat roundabout involved a Mercedes‑Benz Sprinter combi and a dump truck. The combi driver sustained minor injuries, and the collision caused significant traffic congestion during peak travel time. Authorities cleared the scene after a crane removed the damaged vehicles and are investigating possible mechanical failure and a red‑light violation.
