Two Turkish traffic victims die in separate accidents, prompting national mourning

On 6 July 2026, 24‑year‑old Mersin Bar Association lawyer Tuğçe Şen was fatally injured after a car struck her at a pedestrian crossing on the D‑400 highway in Erdemli, Mersin Province.
