Two-vehicle crash near Plainview prompts helicopter response
A two-vehicle collision occurred on Monday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 247 and County Road 2, approximately four miles west of Plainview in Wabasha County, Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Subaru SUV traveling south on County Road 2 collided with a Ford SUV traveling westbound on Highway 247. The occupants of the Subaru included a 78-year-old woman and a 72-year-old woman, both from Pepin. The Ford was operated by an 89-year-old man from Goodhue, accompanied by an 88-year-old woman from the same area.
A Mayo One helicopter was dispatched to the scene. Responding agencies included the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, the Plainview Police Department, and Elgin Fire and Ambulance.
