Two violent assaults in Brazil send men to hospital

In Rio Branco, Acre, a man named Thiago Barros Pereira was surrounded and beaten with wooden slats on Avenida Amadeu Barbosa, sustaining a shoulder dislocation, abdominal trauma and multiple bruises. He was stabilized by SAMU and taken to the city’s emergency hospital, while police did not register a formal report.

In Anápolis, Goiás, a 34‑year‑old man was sent to the state hospital after his right eye was pierced during a bar fight in the Jardim Santa Cecília district. Police and SAMU responded, and three suspects were arrested and taken to the civil police station. The victim’s condition remains unreported.
