Florida authorities arrest two women for allegedly abusing four children in a semi-truck
Two women, Keysha Monique Epps, 51, and Tamra Marshon Stewart, 37, have been arrested for allegedly keeping four children captive and abusing them inside a semi-truck sleeper cab for six years. The victims, two boys and two girls, were between the ages of five and nine when the abuse began.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier described the vehicle as a “rolling dungeon,” stating that the children were kept locked in the cab while the women drove routes between Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, and other locations. The children were reportedly denied basic necessities, including regular meals, hygiene, medical care, and schooling.
Authorities allege that Stewart sexually abused the girls, while the boys were physically beaten if they witnessed the abuse or attempted to report it. Two of the children were discovered with untreated burns that resulted in serious scarring. The suspects face multiple charges, including sexual battery, molestation, and neglect.
