Shah Alam gang clash leads to 11 arrests and one death

Police in Selangor have detained 11 individuals suspected of being members of two different gang groups following a violent clash in Taman Alam Megah, Shah Alam. The incident, which occurred on August 25, resulted in the death of one man and left several others injured, with three individuals still receiving hospital treatment.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar stated that preliminary investigations suggest the fight was caused by a territorial dispute between the two groups operating in the Shah Alam area. Authorities believe the groups involved may be newly formed and are investigating potential links to local business activities that may have triggered the conflict.

Five of the suspects have been remanded for seven days, while the remaining six were brought to court for further remand applications. Police are continuing to track other suspects who remain at large and are working to identify the leaders of these groups.
