Two-year-old boy recovers after receiving three electroshocks in Turkey
A two-year-old boy, Ahmet El Musa, has been discharged from Sular Akademi Hospital in Afşin, Kahramanmaraş, following a critical medical emergency. The child, a member of the Musa family, was initially referred to the hospital due to sudden loss of consciousness, general condition deterioration, and brief cardiac arrest.
During monitoring, the child developed a life-threatening heart rhythm disorder known as polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT). Medical staff performed approximately 10 minutes of CPR and administered three electroshocks to restore a normal heart rhythm.
Following the emergency intervention, the patient received antiarrhythmic treatment, rhythm regulator therapy, and a pacemaker. After spending approximately 1.5 months in the intensive care unit, including an initial 10-day period on respiratory support, the child was cleared for discharge.
