Two Young Drivers Killed in Marche Highway Crash

A fatal collision occurred around 05:50 on the highway segment between Corridonia and Morrovalle in the Marche region. Two 20‑year‑old men died when a Lancia Musa struck a Fiat Punto carrying five other youths. Four of the surviving occupants were seriously injured; two of them were classified as gravely wounded and were air‑lifted by helicopter to the Torrette hospital, while the others were taken by ambulance. Emergency services—including fire brigades, the 118 medical rescue, and road police—closed the highway in both directions. The crash happened at a lane‑exchange point that has been under construction and has been the site of several prior accidents.
