Two young men detained after violent clash in Podari, Romania

Police from the Criminal Investigation Office in Craiova arrested two men, aged 18 and 21, in Dolj County for a 24‑hour period following a night‑time conflict at a restaurant in the commune of Podari. The suspects allegedly assaulted three other men from the nearby commune of Țuglui, inflicting injuries that required hospital care for two victims. Officers also recovered two sharp, stabbing objects at the scene, which were taken for forensic analysis. The detainees were placed in the Dolj County Police Detention Center pending a hearing before the local prosecutor.

The incident was addressed with the involvement of multiple police units, including special forces, and the investigation was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Office for further processing.
