Two youths arrested for drug trafficking in Minas Gerais, Brazil

Police in the Minas Gerais municipality of Araxá arrested a 20‑year‑old male during a routine patrol on 3 March. The suspect was stopped on a Honda CG‑150 motorcycle and was found with large amounts of high‑purity cocaine (“fish‑scale” tablets), 18 small packets of cocaine ready for sale, a large crack stone, a bag of marijuana, functional precision scales and cash. The motorcycle and the seized substances were taken to the local police station for processing.

In the neighboring city of Hortolândia, an 18‑year‑old was detained on 4 March after police observed suspicious movement in the Monte Sinai neighbourhood. A bag carried by the suspect contained roughly 162 g of cocaine, 380 g of marijuana, 22 g of crack, 20 g of a synthetic drug known as “dry,” 26 g of “ice,” and a small amount of cash. The youth admitted to selling the drugs and remains in custody pending judicial proceedings.
