Unicaja Malaga signs former NBA player Kevin Knox
Unicaja Malaga has announced the signing of American forward Kevin Knox through the end of the current season. The 27-year-old, standing 2.03 meters tall, joins the Spanish club to bolster its interior rotation following an injury to Tyson Perez.
Knox brings significant experience from the NBA, where he played 320 games for teams including the New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, and Golden State Warriors. He was originally selected ninth overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. Most recently, he played in the NBA G League for the Windy City Bulls, averaging 21.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
This move marks Knox’s first experience in European basketball. He is expected to compete in both the Liga Endesa and the Basketball Champions League. His signing joins a roster that includes other former NBA players such as Ignas Brazdeikis, Willy Hernangomez, and Matt Thomas.
