Italian sports clubs launch new seasonal preparations

Various regional and national sports organizations in Italy are preparing for the 2026-2027 seasons. In volleyball, Altotevere San Giustino has begun athletic preparation for the A3 division.

In basketball, the Federazione Italiana Pallacanestro in Carrozzina released the Serie A schedule, featuring Unipol Briantea84 Cantù, while Fides Costone 1904 in Siena has commenced its seasonal training under new coach Federico Ferrini. In women's football, Easy Sport ASD is launching a structured project in Caltanissetta, and Simaxis Fc is calling for the creation of an Under 15 female team to ensure continuity for young players.

Other notable updates include Silvia Gobbi being named captain for De Florio Nuovi Orizzonti Taranto in Serie B, Tycke Sport representing Calabria at the Italian AirBadminton Championships in Palermo, and the fourth edition of the Miglio Blu Trophy open water swimming event in Trebisacce. Additionally, Silvi is hosting the second Beach Volley Trophy ‘Città di Silvi’ as part of its candidacy for European Capital of Sport 2028.
