TYH Tekstil workers protest unfair dismissals in Keşan

The DİSK Textile Workers' Union held a press conference in Keşan, Edirne, to support employees of TYH Tekstil Yatırım Holding who claim they were unfairly dismissed. Workers allege that they were terminated due to their attempts to unionize.

Discharged employees reported that they were assigned 'Code-22' for their termination, a designation they claim prevents them from accessing unemployment benefits. Additionally, workers raised concerns regarding delayed wages, poor hygiene, inadequate working conditions, and management attitudes.

Union leaders and political representatives, including İYİ Party Deputy Chairman Yüksel Selçuk Türkoğlu, expressed support for the workers' demands for humane working conditions. The union has called on the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to conduct an audit of the factories to investigate the legality of the dismissal codes and ensure all outstanding wages are paid.
