Tyler Bindon joins Charlton Athletic on loan from Nottingham Forest
New Zealand international defender Tyler Bindon has joined Charlton Athletic on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest. The 21-year-old center-back moves to the London-based club to seek regular playing time after finding himself outside the immediate plans of Nottingham Forest's coaching staff.
Charlton manager Nathan Jones confirmed the move was a reactive decision to address defensive injuries within the squad. Bindon, who has 28 appearances for New Zealand, previously gained Championship experience during a loan spell with Sheffield United last season. His market value is estimated at approximately €3.5 million, and he remains under contract with Nottingham Forest until June 2028.
This transfer marks Charlton's ninth signing of the summer. Bindon expressed excitement about the club's vision and the opportunity to work under Jones, noting that the manager's approach aligned with his professional goals.
