Tyler Boebert arrested on child sexual exploitation charges

Tyler Boebert, the 21-year-old son of U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert, has been arrested on multiple felony charges, including three counts of child sexual exploitation and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The investigation by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office follows a report regarding sexually explicit material posted to an anonymous Instagram account. An arrest affidavit alleges that in 2024, when Tyler was 18, he was involved in a video with a 17-year-old girl.

In a separate legal matter, Tyler Boebert has accepted a plea deal from the Weld County District Attorney’s Office regarding a child abuse and negligence case. This case involved an incident in 2025 where his toddler son was found wandering unattended. Under the proposed agreement, he may face up to 30 days in jail, 12 months of supervised probation, and a required parenting program.

Representative Boebert released a statement expressing her love for her son and noting that the family is taking the allegations seriously.
