Tyler Glasnow nears Dodgers return after dominant Triple-A rehab start

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow is nearing a return to the major leagues following a dominant third rehabilitation start with the Triple-A Oklahoma City affiliate. During Friday night's outing against the Albuquerque Isotopes, Glasnow pitched 3.2 innings, throwing 67 pitches without allowing a hit while striking out eight batters.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated that the team plans to take a cautious approach to ensure Glasnow is available for the postseason. The plan involves one additional minor-league start, potentially targeting five innings and 75 pitches, before he is activated from the 60-day injured list. Glasnow has been sidelined since May due to injury.

His return comes as the Dodgers' rotation stabilizes, with Blake Snell recently returning from the injured list and Shohei Ohtani completing his first bullpen session in several weeks. The team may consider various roles for Glasnow in October, including potential relief options if necessary.
