Tyler Glasnow set to return for Los Angeles Dodgers

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow is set to return to the rotation this Tuesday for the start of a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves. Glasnow has been sidelined for over three months due to lower back spasms, which forced his removal from a game against the Houston Astros in early May.

Following a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he recorded nine strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings and reached a pitch count of 77, Glasnow is expected to take the rotation spot of Justin Wrobleski. Wrobleski was recently placed on the injured list with left forearm inflammation and is expected to transition to a multi-inning relief role upon his return.

Before his injury, Glasnow maintained a 2.72 ERA through seven outings. The Dodgers currently have an opening on their 40-man roster to accommodate his return.
