Since the trade deadline on August 3, Mahle has recorded a 1.25 ERA over seven starts, pitching 43.1 innings. This performance comes as the Braves deal with significant injuries to their pitching staff, including Spencer Strider and Spencer Schwellenbach. Mahle has effectively filled the role of a No. 2 starter behind Chris Sale.
