Tyler Maxson Takes Pole at Road America for Porsche Carrera Cup
Tyler Maxson secured pole position for the opening race of the Porsche Carrera Cup North America at Road America, posting a 2:07.587 lap—0.296 seconds faster than teammate Cole Kleck. Aaron Jeansonne qualified third, while Callum Hedge, who had led early, finished fourth after a red‑flag caused by Patrick Mulcahy limited his time to improve. Janne Stiak completed the top five. In class categories, Scott Blind earned Masters‑class pole and Josh Conley took Pro‑Am pole after Mulcahy’s red‑flag erased his fastest laps.
The make‑up grid, based on qualifying from the postponed Miami round, will see Hedge on pole alongside Stiak, with Jeansonne and Maxson forming the second row. Only the cars entered for the Miami event will contest the make‑up race, reducing the field to 18 cars instead of 22. Friday’s two 40‑minute races are scheduled for 10:25 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. CST, with the additional round set for 8:50 a.m. CST on Saturday. All three races will be streamed live on Peacock and on the Porsche Motorsport North America and IMSA YouTube channels.
