Tyler Perry announces Netflix holiday film ‘The Gospel of Christmas’

Tyler Perry is set to release a new faith-driven holiday drama, ‘The Gospel of Christmas’, on Netflix on November 11. Written, directed, and co-produced by Perry, the film stars Fantasia Barrino Taylor and Durrell ‘Tank’ Babbs as a husband and wife team.

The plot follows Isaac (Babbs), a struggling pastor who inherits his family’s church in a troubled New York City neighborhood. As he attempts to restore the congregation, he must confront personal doubts, temptation, and a sinister adversary driven by greed to save his family and community.

The production features a large ensemble of prominent gospel music artists, including CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Shirley Caesar, Jekalyn Carr, Smokie Norful, and the Clark Sisters. Grammy-winning artist Kirk Franklin is overseeing the film’s music production.
