Tyler Perry to relocate to Puerto Rico and scale back career

Filmmaker and actor Tyler Perry has announced plans to relocate to Puerto Rico in early 2027. The 57-year-old entertainment mogul stated that the move is intended to allow him to slow down his professional workload and spend more quality time with his 11-year-old son, Aman.

During recent media appearances, Perry also addressed his personal life, stating he has no intention of getting married. He cited the financial risks associated with the “divorce pandemic,” noting that he has observed many successful individuals lose their wealth following the dissolution of a marriage.

Perry, who built a massive production empire centered around Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, indicated that this shift marks a new chapter focused on family and personal well-being as he grows older.
