Tyler Reddick involved in practice crash at Homestead-Miami Speedway

NASCAR Cup Series driver Tyler Reddick was involved in a collision during the final practice session for the championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The incident occurred as drivers were slowing to enter pit road. Reddick, driving the No. 45 Toyota for 23XI Racing, struck the rear of another vehicle, which caused his car to spin and sustained significant damage to the front end.

Reddick reported that his view was obstructed by other cars, specifically mentioning the No. 38, which prevented him from seeing vehicles turning into the pit lane. He expressed frustration over the accident, noting that he believed he had the best car he had ever brought to the track. The team is currently evaluating whether they will need to switch to a backup vehicle for the upcoming qualifying sessions and the championship race.

Separately, the championship weekend forecast indicates high temperatures near 90 degrees in South Florida, though major rain interruptions are not currently expected for the main events.
