Tyler Shough leads NFL in passing yards as Saints offense shows disparity

New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough has emerged as the NFL leader in passing yards through the first two weeks of the season. Shough has recorded 662 passing yards and four touchdowns with a 69% completion rate, following a 24-17 upset victory over the Baltimore Ravens and a close Week 1 contest against Detroit.

Despite the high-performing passing attack, which averages 383.5 yards per game, the Saints continue to struggle with their rushing offense. The team ranks 28th in the NFL in rushing, averaging only 78 yards per game. Offseason addition Travis Etienne has yet to provide a significant boost, totaling 71 yards on 17 attempts, while Alvin Kamara continues to work back from injury rehabilitation. In the recent win against Baltimore, the team managed only 65 rushing yards on 27 attempts.
