TYM signs MOU with Uzbekistan to pilot CNG tractors

TYM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan to collaborate on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) tractors. The agreement was finalized during the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Forum held in Seoul.

Under the agreement, the two parties will conduct pilot tests of the ‘T6092’ CNG tractor in Uzbekistan through the end of 2028. The testing phase will evaluate performance, fuel efficiency, carbon reduction effects, and agricultural productivity. The T6092 features a 92-horsepower bi-fuel engine that utilizes gasoline for driving and CNG for agricultural tasks.

TYM expects the CNG tractors to reduce fuel costs by more than 50% compared to the diesel models widely used in the region. This transition aims to help Uzbekistan enhance energy security by replacing imported diesel with domestic natural gas. Following the successful verification of data from the pilot tests, the companies will discuss commercialization, market entry strategies, and financial support models through separate contracts.
