Tymek Kucharczyk leads LMP2 rookies at Portimao tests

Tymek Kucharczyk, a driver transitioning from Indy NXT, recorded a strong debut in the LMP2 class during the European Le Mans Series rookie tests at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao.

Driving the No. 29 Oreca 07-Gibson for Forestier Racing by Panis, Kucharczyk posted an afternoon lap time of 1:33.522. This performance made him the fastest among the LMP2 newcomers, narrowly beating Enea Frey of Vector Sport.

While Kucharczyk led the rookie category, Doriane Pin of Duqueine Team set the fastest overall time of the day with a 1:32.840. The testing event featured 41 cars and included sessions for various classes, including LMP3 and LMGT3.
