Tymoteusz Kucharczyk declines Formula 1 test due to funding

Polish racing driver Tymoteusz Kucharczyk revealed that he was forced to decline an offer to test a Formula 1 car due to a lack of necessary funding. The 20-year-old, who currently competes in the American Indy NXT series, stated that an unnamed Formula 1 team approached him to test a car from the previous season.

Kucharczyk expressed disappointment over the missed opportunity, noting that such offers can appear unexpectedly and serve as a vital gateway to the sport. He explained that while being recognized by a team was an honor, he could not meet the financial requirements before the deadline passed. He described the situation as a missed chance that occurred through no fault of his own.

Kucharczyk is currently viewed as a significant prospect for Polish motorsport, following in the footsteps of Robert Kubica, the only Polish driver to have competed in Formula 1.
