Kansas City Chiefs hesitant to sign Tyreek Hill amid legal and health concerns
The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly not in a rush to sign veteran wide receiver Tyreek Hill, despite rumors of a potential reunion. While the team recently faced injuries to their receiving corps, including Tyquan Thornton, the front office appears to be exploring the trade market and relying on younger players like Jalen Royals instead.
Several significant hurdles remain for Hill. He is currently recovering from a serious knee injury that led to his release from the Miami Dolphins in February. Additionally, Hill faces potential NFL disciplinary action following a civil trial in which a jury found him liable on two counts of battery against his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro. The jury awarded Vaccaro $500,000 in compensatory damages.
Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, stated that the situation remains fluid and that a deal could happen at any time depending on the right medical and financial fit. NFL insiders suggest that while interest exists, any signing may be delayed by the ongoing legal process and the likelihood of a league suspension.
