Tyrel Albin reaches new Air Force milestone after overcoming homelessness

Tyrel Albin, a young man from Dutchess County who overcame homelessness, is reaching new milestones in his career with the United States Air Force. After finding stability through Pat’s Place, a transitional housing program operated by Hudson River Housing in Poughkeepsie, Albin pursued military service.

Following his graduation from basic military training in San Antonio, Texas, in June, Albin is currently attending technical school in Pensacola, Florida. Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino reported that he is performing well and is scheduled to graduate from technical training on October 20. Upon completion, he will begin a new assignment in Missouri.
