TyreSafe Gains Major Backing as Dunlop and Falken Join UK Road Safety Charity
TyreSafe announced that the tyre manufacturers Dunlop and Falken have become official supporters, joining the charity at its highest membership tier. Their involvement gives the charity broader reach to educate motorists on tyre maintenance, pressure checks, tread depth and defect detection, and secures a seat on TyreSafe’s steering committee for input on future campaigns and policy development.
The partnership aligns with the UK government's National Road Safety Strategy, which targets a 65% reduction in road deaths and serious injuries by 2035. TyreSafe estimates more than six million tyres on British roads have illegal tread each year, contributing to MOT failures and fines. By combining industry expertise with the charity’s safety messaging, the collaboration aims to influence driver behaviour and support research and data‑sharing initiatives.
Both Dunlop Tyre Europe and Falken see the move as part of a broader industry commitment to road safety, while TyreSafe’s chair highlighted the partnership as a clear demonstration of dedication to reducing tyre‑related incidents across the United Kingdom.
