Tyrese Gibson wins arrest authorization against ex-wife in custody dispute

A Fulton County magistrate judge has authorized an arrest warrant for Samantha Lee Gibson following a legal dispute with her ex-husband, actor Tyrese Gibson, regarding their daughter, Soraya.

Tyrese Gibson alleges that Samantha violated their parenting agreement by moving their daughter from Georgia to Oregon in September 2025 and subsequently obstructing his visitation rights. He characterized the relocation as premeditated.

Samantha Lee Gibson has contested the warrant, arguing that she holds primary custody and that Tyrese was aware of the move in advance. She maintains that her relocation was not concealed and that the application for the warrant contained inaccurate information.

Judge Adam Petty granted the request for the arrest warrant, though he has authorized Samantha's release on a signature bond upon her surrender to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
