Tyrese Haliburton reacts to NBA schedule omission for injury return
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton expressed disappointment regarding the NBA's 2026-27 schedule release. Haliburton, who missed the entire 2025-26 season due to a torn Achilles suffered during the 2025 NBA Finals, noted that his highly anticipated return game on October 21 against the New Orleans Pelicans will not be broadcast on national television.
Speaking on the ‘Numbers on the Board’ podcast, Haliburton questioned why a player returning from a 16-month injury layoff would not be featured in a nationally televised matchup or a home game. He noted that the NBA's national broadcasts for that night are instead focused on Minnesota at Miami and Golden State at the Lakers.
The Pacers are set to play their first nationally televised game of the season on October 28 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
