Tyrese Haliburton provides health update and announces preseason game in Ames

Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has provided a positive health update, stating he feels great and expects to be ready for the upcoming NBA season following an Achilles injury that sidelined him for nearly 16 months. Haliburton noted that while he feels physically ready, he anticipates a period of adjustment to reach full game conditioning during the preseason.

In a nod to his collegiate roots, Haliburton and the Pacers will travel to Ames, Iowa, to play an NBA preseason exhibition game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Hilton Coliseum on October 7. This marks the first time the venue has hosted an NBA preseason game since 2018. Haliburton, a former Iowa State standout and Olympic gold medalist, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to return to the arena where he played his college basketball.
