Premier League clubs target Mitchell and Van de Ven

Several Premier League clubs are reportedly targeting key defensive reinforcements during the upcoming transfer windows.

Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell has emerged as a primary target for Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Juventus. With Mitchell’s contract set to expire in 2027, Palace may consider a sale as early as January for a fee estimated between £20 million and £30 million. Manchester United is noted as a leading contender, though Juventus is also monitoring the situation to bolster their left flank.

Simultaneously, Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Micky van de Ven is being closely monitored by both Liverpool and Manchester United. Liverpool is reportedly seeking a long-term successor for Virgil van Dijk, while United looks to strengthen their central defence. Although Van de Ven is under a long-term contract with Tottenham, reports suggest a potential transfer could involve fees in the region of £80 million to £90 million.
