Tyrolean mountains identified as new search area for missing hiker Carolin S

Police in Upper Bavaria are following new leads in the disappearance of 25-year-old Carolin S., who has been missing since early September. While she was last known to be hiking near the Wettersteinspitze in Mittenwald, Germany, new information suggests she may have traveled into the Tyrolean mountains in Austria.

Authorities are focusing their search on hiking areas around Ehrwald, Gaistal, and Leutasch, including locations such as Sonnenspitze and the Coburger Hütte. Investigators are also investigating an unusual stop the woman made in Weilheim, Oberbayern, on September 4, which her family says was not part of her original travel plans.
