Tyron Woodley involved in heated exchange with Sean Strickland

UFC fighters Sean Strickland and Tyron Woodley engaged in a heated exchange of direct messages following Strickland’s public criticism of coach Din Thomas. The tension began after UFC 330, where Thomas cornered Gillian Robertson during her title loss to Mackenzie Dern. Following the fight, Thomas announced his retirement as a cornerman and issued an apology, though Robertson questioned the sincerity of the gesture.

Woodley warned Strickland to stop criticizing Thomas, describing him as a ‘habitual line-crosser’ and stating he is ‘ride or die’ for the coach. Strickland responded with dismissive and profane messages directed at both men.

Separately, ahead of his match against Joaquin Buckley at RAF 12, Tyron Woodley suggested that Buckley holds a long-standing grudge against him. Woodley claimed that nearly a decade ago, Buckley—then a young athlete at Woodley’s gym—sought to spar with him during title fight camps, but Woodley declined the offer. Woodley noted that Buckley appears to be fighting with a ‘chip on his shoulder’ to prove himself.
