Louisiana man arrested in Tennessee with wife's body in vehicle
Tyronne Brazille, 50, is awaiting extradition to Louisiana following the discovery of his wife’s body during a traffic stop in Memphis, Tennessee. Authorities allege that Brazille shot and killed 50-year-old Lanessa Bradford during a verbal argument at Independence Community Park in Baton Rouge.
After the shooting, investigators say Brazille drove through multiple states for several hours with Bradford’s body in the passenger seat. Memphis police took Brazille into custody as a fugitive after pulling him over for a traffic violation.
A longtime friend of Bradford stated that the victim had been planning to leave Brazille and had even saved money to facilitate a disappearance to escape the relationship. Bradford, an elementary school employee, had recently missed work, prompting a welfare check by her school. Brazille is expected to face murder charges once returned to Louisiana.
