Chicago Bears defeat New York Jets 23-12 behind Monangai's rushing

The Chicago Bears defeated the New York Jets 23-12 at Soldier Field, improving their season record to 3-1. The victory was driven by a dominant rushing attack led by running back Kyle Monangai, who recorded 146 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries.

With starting quarterback Caleb Williams sidelined due to a Grade 2 hamstring strain, Tyson Bagent took the start. Bagent completed 25 of 34 passes for 268 yards. Despite an interception by Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, the Bears' defense held New York to just 157 total yards and seven first downs.

The Jets, now 1-3, struggled offensively, managing only 32 plays during the game. New York's Geno Smith threw a 58-yard touchdown to Isaiah Williams in the fourth quarter, but the Jets were unable to overcome the deficit. Following the game, Bears head coach Ben Johnson indicated that Bagent is expected to start again in Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers.
