Tyson Brody linked to Kansas Senate race opposition research
Tyson Brody, a 39-year-old opposition researcher and former staffer for the Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders campaigns, has been identified as a key figure in the Kansas Senate race. Brody, who recently returned to Kansas, is credited with providing information that led to a New York Times investigation into incumbent Republican Senator Roger Marshall.
The investigation revealed that Marshall, during his career as an obstetrician-gynecologist, had sued approximately 700 patients over medical debt. In 81 of those instances, patients faced legal consequences, including arrests, due to missed court dates. These revelations have reportedly shifted the political landscape in the state, placing the Republican incumbent on the defensive in a race where economic affordability is a primary concern for voters.
