Tyson Frizell signs with Wests Tigers for 2027 season

Rugby league veteran Tyson Frizell has signed with the Wests Tigers for the 2027 NRL season. The 35-year-old forward joins the club following a successful stint with the Newcastle Knights, where he most recently reached the Grand Final.

With over 300 first-grade appearances for clubs including the Cronulla Sharks and St George Illawarra Dragons, Frizell is expected to provide significant experience to the Tigers' roster. Coach Benji Marshall praised Frizell’s professionalism, stating that his preparation will serve as an invaluable model for the club’s younger players.

Frizell described the move as a “fresh start” and a new challenge. Before joining the Tigers, the Tongan international will focus on competing in the World Cup.
