Negotiations continue regarding the venue for the heavyweight mega-fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. While reports suggest the bout is slated for November 20 at Madison Square Garden in New York, Matchroom Boxing executives have disputed that a final agreement for a US venue has been reached.

Matchroom CEO Frank Smith and promoter Eddie Hearn have emphasized that the existing contract mandates the fight take place in the United Kingdom. Hearn noted that while organizers, broadcasters like Netflix, and Turki Alalshikh are pushing for a New York location, Joshua’s team has not yet agreed to amend the contract. Any move to the United States would require substantial compensation and new contractual terms to address changes in tax positions and media duties.

In a related development, Eddie Hearn has threatened legal action against Dana White, accusing him of making unauthorized claims regarding the ability to stage the event in New York. Hearn maintains that no venue deal exists and that White has no authority to broker such an agreement.
