Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury heavyweight fight contractually signed

Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that the heavyweight boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is contractually signed and will proceed. Despite recent social media claims by Fury suggesting the bout was in doubt, Hearn insisted the agreement is legally binding and that neither fighter can unilaterally withdraw.

Negotiations are currently centered on the fight's venue and financial terms. While Joshua’s original contract stipulates the event take place in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabian organizer Sela and other stakeholders are pushing to move the bout to the United States, with Madison Square Garden in New York being a primary candidate. Hearn noted that Matchroom Boxing has submitted requirements to accommodate a move to America, as the current proposal would involve reduced pay and additional obligations for Joshua.

The highly anticipated clash is expected to take place in November and is slated for broadcast on Netflix. While a UK stadium event remains the preference for Joshua's camp, a decision regarding the final location is expected shortly to allow for proper promotion and training camps.
