Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua set for November heavyweight clash
British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is on track to meet long‑time rival Anthony Joshua in a November bout that promoters are billing as the biggest fight in British boxing history. Fury secured a unanimous‑decision win over Russia’s Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while Joshua is scheduled to face Albanian fighter Kristian Prenga on 25 July in Riyadh as a warm‑up.
Mexican four‑division champion Canelo Alvarez backed Joshua, saying, “I think Anthony Joshua [will win]. I am always with Anthony Joshua.” Promoter Frank Warren said an announcement of Fury’s next opponent will be made “next week” to ensure the champion stays unscathed before the November showdown.
