Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua slated for UK heavyweight showdown

Promoter Eddie Hearn disclosed that the contracted bout between former champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua must take place in the United Kingdom. The agreement, backed by Saudi boxing patron Turki Alalshikh, obliges the fighters to fight on British soil; any venue outside the UK would require further negotiation.

Joshua is set to face Albanian heavyweight Christian Prenga on 25 July as a warm‑up, while Fury is expected to have a preparatory fight later in the year, though his opponent has not yet been announced. Hearn confirmed that the Fury‑Joshua fight is targeted for a Saturday in November.

In a separate interview Joshua rebuked Fury’s earlier remarks, calling the British champion “a gad” and emphasizing his readiness for the November clash after his own upcoming bout.
