Tyson Fury to face Mariusz Wach in Thailand as Joshua warm‑up

Tyson Fury will fight 46‑year‑old Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach on 24 July at Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand. The bout is billed as Fury’s final tune‑up before a long‑awaited showdown with fellow Briton Anthony Joshua later in 2026. It will be streamed live on Netflix, with all ticket proceeds donated to local charities and the WBC presenting Fury with a special humanitarian title.

Wach, a former world‑title challenger with a 39‑13 record, has not fought a top‑contender since his 2012 loss to Wladimir Klitschko and entered the fight after recent defeats to Viktor Vykhryst and Moses Itauma. Fury, who returned from retirement in April with a unanimous‑decision win over Arslanbek Makhmudov, said, “This is a landmark year for me in boxing… we’re coming together to put on a great show for the fans while giving back to the local community.”

A day later, Joshua is scheduled to face Albanian Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, completing the two‑day build‑up to a likely British heavyweight clash that promoters expect to headline the sport’s calendar before the end of 2026.
