Anthony Joshua vs. Kristian Prenga set for Saudi heavyweight showdown
British former world champion Anthony Joshua will face Albanian knockout specialist Kristian Prenga on 25 July 2026 at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia. Joshua enters the bout with a 29‑4 record (26 KOs) after a December 2025 knockout of Jake Paul, while Prenga is unbeaten at 20‑1 with all wins coming by knockout. The fight, broadcast live on DAZN pay‑per‑view (UK start ≈ 11 p.m.), is a comeback for Joshua after a serious car accident and a stepping‑stone toward a proposed mega‑fight with rival Tyson Fury.
The undercard features WBO super‑middleweight champion Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Simon Zachenhuber, IBF super‑welterweight champion Josh Kelly vs. Caoimhin Agyarko, and several other international match‑ups.
The night follows Tyson Fury’s seventh‑round TKO of Poland’s Mariusz Wach in Pattaya, Thailand, on 24 July 2026. Fury, who claimed a technical knockout, announced he would not travel to Jeddah, saying, “I’m going home to my wife and kids.” He later dismissed Joshua’s courage, calling him a “chicken” in a post‑fight press conference. Joshua described Prenga as “a very dangerous fighter.”
