Tyson Kidd discusses transition from WWE wrestler to producer

Former WWE wrestler Tyson Kidd, real name TJ Wilson, has reflected on his transition from an in-ring competitor to a behind-the-scenes producer for the company. Speaking on ‘Busted Open Radio’, Wilson noted that while the role is highly fulfilling, it presents unique challenges.

One of the primary difficulties Wilson identified is the shift from physical demonstration to verbal instruction. Previously, he could demonstrate moves in the ring, but as a producer, he must now coach talent entirely through verbal communication. He described the learning process as being ‘thrown into the fire’ without a formal manual.

Wilson credited several colleagues, including Seth Rollins, Nic Nemeth, and Finn Balor, for assisting him during his transition. Nemeth, who also appeared on the radio program, praised Wilson’s contribution to the production team, stating that his ideas have been a ‘breath of fresh air’ for the roster.
