Tzuyu faces backlash after photographer criticizes her appearance

TWICE member Tzuyu has faced significant online backlash after a photographer criticized her physical appearance. The photographer, who claimed to have photographed thousands of women, described her as having “thick legs” and a “50-50 body proportion,” stating her looks were “really just okay.”

In response to these comments, fans and internet users mobilized to target the photographer’s business via Google Business reviews, resulting in a surge of one-star ratings that lowered his business score. Following the controversy, the photographer set his Threads account to private and issued a formal apology on his Google Business page, stating, “I should not have criticized Ms. Tzuyu, I sincerely apologize,” while requesting that users retract their negative reviews.

Amidst the controversy, Tzuyu has been participating in international activities in Singapore, including a collaboration with Williams Racing and the animated series Dan Da Dan, for which she is set to record an official theme song.
