U-17 Men's Volleyball World Championship: Venezuela and Cuba face challenges

The U-17 Men's Volleyball World Championship in Doha, Qatar, continues with significant results for Caribbean and South American teams.

Venezuela's U-17 squad suffered its first defeat of the tournament, losing 3-1 to Tunisia with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 16-25, and 23-25. Diego Rondón led Venezuela with 23 points. Despite the loss, Venezuela remains second in Group B due to set coefficients and is scheduled to face France next.

Meanwhile, the Cuban U-17 team is looking to recover after a straight-set loss to India in their opening match. Cuba currently shares the bottom of Group B with Romania. Following their match against Romania, Cuba is set to face defending champions Italy to conclude their group stage action.
