U Cluj nears €150,000 bonus from Andrei Coubiș transfer

Universitatea Cluj is set to receive an additional €150,000 following the transfer of defender Andrei Coubiș to Lincoln City in the English second division. While the initial transfer fee in July was €3 million, the contract included a special clause granting U Cluj an extra 5% of the initial sum if the player meets specific milestones with the Romanian national team.

To trigger this bonus, Coubiș must play at least 45 minutes in five matches for Romania. He has already appeared in three matches, including starts against Sweden and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as an appearance against Poland. The club is expected to receive the funds by the end of the year, as Coubiș is likely to feature in upcoming national team fixtures against Sweden, Poland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
